Indications:
Smecta is used for:
- symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in children, infants (in combination with oral rehydration) and adults.
- symptomatic treatment of chronic diarrhea.
- symptomatic treatment of pain associated with esso-gastro-duodenal and colic diseases.
Method of administration:
Treatment of acute diarrhea:
Infants under 1 year of age and children over 1 year of age
Infants under 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 2 sachets per day, administered for 3 days, then 1 sachet per day.
Children over 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 4 sachets per day, administered for 3 days, then 2 sachets per day.
Adults: The recommended daily dose is 6 sachets per day.
Treatment of other indications:
Infants under 1 year of age and children over 1 year of age
Infants under 1 year of age: 1 sachet per day.
Children aged 1 to 2 years: 1 to 2 sachets per day.
Children over 2 years of age: 2 to 3 sachets per day.
Adults: The recommended daily dose is 3 sachets per day.
