PT3: the disinfection of shelters, surfaces, machinery and means of public transport, used for the breeding, maintenance, reproduction, production, transport and delivery of animals; the disinfection of surfaces in slaughterhouses, food markets and animal fairs.
PT4: the decontamination and disinfection of surfaces, equipment, machinery, containers and pipes related to the production, transport and storage of food, feed or beverages.

COMPOSITION (PT3/PT4):
Glutaraldehyde  ……..18%
Alkyl chloride …………5%
Ammonium dimethylbenzyl ……….…5%
Didecyldimethylammonium chloride.…5%
Excipients q.s.ad. .……….……….…………100 ml.

METHOD OF USING PT2:

Antibacterial disinfection: 3 % 60 min.
Antifungal disinfection: 3%, 60 min.
Virucidal disinfection as needed: Adenovirus type 5: 3%, 60 min.; Poliovirus type 1: 3%, 60 min. Inactivation of the Murine norovirus 3% 60 min, and inactivation of the Coronavirus 229E 3% 60 min.
Method of application: by spraying on the surfaces or immersing items into baths with Aldezin solution, after dilution.

METHOD OF USING PT3:

The program of decontamination for animal sheds:

Stage I: the mechanical and hydro-mechanical cleaning:
- Remove the remaining feed from the shelters or feeders;
- Remove any mobile equipment;
- Empty the pits and pre-pits, whenever possible.
1. The fixing phase is carried out by spraying the mechanically uncleansed surfaces with a 1% solution of ALDEZIN in water, spraying 200 ml solution/m2, for 15 minutes of contact time;
2. The actual mechanical and hydro-mechanical cleaning phase is carried out by removing the garbage, droppings, feed residues, dust from the floors, walls, ceilings, windows, pipes, shelters, troughs, gutters, sewerage installations, using hoses with strong water jet (minimum requirements of 40 atm) and the various tools (iron rods, brushes).

Stage II: the washing:
Apply a detergent – degreaser with a softening action (at the stated concentration) to remove protein residues, fat, dirt), spraying 400 ml solution/m2. Let it act for about ½ hour and, then, carefully wash the entire compartment with the high pressure pump.
The use of hot water (40-45°C) improves the quality of work and reduces time. In case of washing with hot water, the pressure of 80-100 bar is sufficient.
Rinsing: it is necessary to properly rinse, as it triggers the elimination of the last remaining dirt. Rinsing at a good flow and low pressure (50-60 bar) is ideal.Stage III: the disinfection:
Apply ALDEZIN disinfectant with bactericidal, fungal and virucidal action onto all surfaces, observing the specific concentrations and contact times.
Antibacterial disinfection: prophylactic: 1%, 30 min.; as needed: 2%, 60 min.
Antifungal disinfection: 4%, 120 min.
Virucidal disinfection: as needed: ORTHOMYXOVIRIDAE, the Influenza virus genus, H5N1 serotype, at a concentration of 1:400, contact time: 30 min; PICORNAVIRIDAE, Aphtovirus genus, the foot and mouth disease virus, serotype O, at a concentration 1:600, contact time: 30 min;
Disinfection as needed for viruses without an envelope, a concentration of 4%, contact time: 120 min;
Disinfection as needed for viruses with an envelope, a concentration of 1%, contact time: 60 min. The amount of disinfectant solution applied: 100 ml/m2 for smooth surfaces; 300 ml/m2 for porous surfaces. Before using the disinfectant, a proper mechanical cleaning of the surfaces is recommended. Use the product at temperatures between 10 and 30°C.
Contact time: close off the shed and observe the time for the contact between the disinfectant and the surfaces subjected to the disinfection.
Neutralization of the disinfectant: wash the disinfected surfaces with water only after the contact time has expired.
Taking sanitation samples: the epidemiologist shall immediately check the quality of the disinfection, by using a quick test kit. The number of samples to be taken is between 5 and 10/compartment (10 samples are taken for a maternity compartment).
Whitewashing: after drying the disinfected surfaces, paint them with whitewash and copper sulfate.

Stage IV: the insertion of the equipment into the shed: it shall only be performed after the equipment has been washed and disinfected.

Stage V: fallowing: the duration of the fallowing depends on the quality of the disinfection, and can vary from a few days to 15 days.
The entire disinfection action shall be carried out under the control of a veterinary epidemiologist, who shall authorize the repopulation, after observing the time allocated to this action, according to the technology of breeding and exploitation..

METHOD OF USING PT4:

Antibacterial disinfection: prophylaxis: 1%, 15 min.; necessity: 0.1%, 30-60 min.
Antifungal disinfection: 3%, 30 min. Yeast: 0.5%, 30 min.; 0.1%, 60 min.
Virucidal disinfection: as needed: Adenovirus type 5: 1%, 5 min.; Poliovirus type 1: 2%, 60 min.
Method of application: by spraying on the surfaces or immersing items into baths with Aldezin solution, after dilution.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:

The product shall only be handled by authorized persons. It shall not be used in combination with anionic surfactants (ordinary detergents, soap). It shall not be used in combination with other disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite or strongly alkaline substances.

 PRECAUTIONS AND SPECIAL INDICATIONS

STORAGE (PT3/PT4):

At temperatures between 10 and 30°C, in original containers, away from solar radiation and heat sources, in dry and well ventilated areas; away from incompatible materials, food and beverages. Keep the containers tightly closed and sealed for use. Any containers that have been opened shall be re-closed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled containers. Use containers which are suitable for the prevention of environmental contamination (HDPE).
