INDICATIONS: BILSULFIM – premix is recommended in pigs and birds (chickens, substitute juveniles, broilers, turkeys, geese, ducks, pheasants, guinea fowls) in infections caused by germs sensitive to sulfadiazine and trimethoprim: infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory and genitourinary tracts (E coli, including colisepticemia, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Bordetella and Chlamidia) and in the control of secondary bacterial infections.

COMPOSITION:

Active substance:
Sulfadiazine……………………………………………………125 mg
Trimethoprim…………………………………………………….25 mg
Excipients: starch
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer to birds producing eggs for human consumption.
Do not administer to animals with serious yeanlingney and liver problems. Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Rarely, skin rashes, gastric irritation, and arthritis may occur. Adrenaline is administered to control allergic manifestations. Sometimes, in birds, sulfonamides can prevent the eggshell from forming, thus obtaining eggs with a soft shell.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION: 
BISULFIM– premix is administered orally, incorporated into the feed. In order to ensure complete homogenization, premix it, in a minimum amount of feed (1:10) before incorporating it into the final feed. The treatment should last 5-7 days.

Pigs: it is recommended in a dose of:
- 2 kg of Bisulfim premix/ton of feed/day, equivalent to 30 mg a.s. (25 mg of sulfadiazine + 5 mg of trimethoprim)/kg bw/day.

Poultry (hens, substitute juveniles, broilers, turkeys, geese, ducks, pheasants, guinea fowls): it is recommended in a dose of:
- 2 kg of Bisulfim premix/ton of feed/day, equivalent to 30 mg a.s. (25 mg of sulfadiazine + 5 mg of trimethoprim)/kg bw/day.

In special epidemiological situations, the veterinarian determines the doses to be administered, in the 2.5-3 kg of Bisulfim premix/ton of feed/day range.

In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be accurately determined, whenever possible, to avoid under-dosing.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
The product should not be administered as such. In administration, for proper dosage of the active substance, a premixing should be carried out, to be incorporated into the feed.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: 28 days. Do not use in birds whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

 
STORAGE:
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Keep in a dry place, at temperatures lower than 25°C, in the original tightly closed packaging, away from direct sunlight and frost. Do not use after the expiration date stated on the label. Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 3 months. Shelf life after incorporation into the food or pelleted feed: 7 days.
