Properties:
- it is recommended in the treatment of dogs suffering from cardiomyopathy, caused by both dilated cardiomyopathy and mitral regurgitation;
- contains L-carnitine which is a quaternary amine composed of lysine and methionine, its main function is to metabolize the long chain of fatty acids and produce energy;
- taurine is one of the crucial substances for the healthy maintenance of cardiac metabolism, through its action of regulating calcium ions and osmotic potentials, neutralizing free radicals, it also constitutes 40% of the free amino acids of the myocardium. Taurine has antiarrhythmic properties, regularizing the number of heartbeats depending on the level of calcium ions and ensuring the integrity of myocardial cells. Taurine deficiency contributes directly to the occurrence of dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs;
- coenzyme Q10 is essential for the energy production process in the body. It is also a natural antioxidant in the mitochondria, where a very high number of free radicals are eliminated, due to the large amount of energy required for the heart's functions;
- vitamin E is a very strong antioxidant and protects against excessive contraction of the endothelial cells of the heart. It also reduces the aggregation and adhesion of blood platelets in the coronary arteries, which facilitates blood flow through the vessels and nourishes the heart.
