Indications:
Claritine belongs to a class of medicinal products known as antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in our bodies.
Claritine relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever), such as sneezing, hypersecretion or nasal itching, burning or itching of the eye.
Claritine can also be used to reduce symptoms of hives (itching, redness, as well as the number and size of rash skin elements).
The relief of these symptoms lasts throughout the day and helps you resume your usual daily activities and sleep normally.
Administration:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: The recommended dose is one Claritine 10 mg tablet (10 mg loratadine) once daily with a glass of water, not related to meals.
Children aged 2 to 12 years: Body weight greater than 30 kg:
The recommended dose is one Claritine 10 mg tablet (10 mg loratadine) once daily with a glass of water, not with meals.
Patients with severe hepatic impairment: Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg:
The recommended dose is one Claritine 10 mg tablet (10 mg loratadine) once daily with a glass of water, not related to meals.
Claritine is not recommended in children younger than 2 years.
