TARGET SPECIES: Calves, piglets, lambs, yeanlings, rabbits and birds (hens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigeons, quails, pheasants, guinea fowls).

INDICATIONS: The product is indicated in calves, piglets, lambs, yeanlings, rabbits and birds (hens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigeons, quails, pheasants, guinea fowls) for the treatment of infectious diseases caused by non-invasive E.coli bacteria that are susceptible to colistin. Before metaphylactic treatment, the presence of the disease in the herd/flock should be determined.

COMPOSITION:
1 g of powder contains:
Active substance:
Colistin sulfate………………0.5 g (equivalent to 10,000,000 I.U.)

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or the excipient.
Do not administer to horses, especially foals since colistin may lead, due to the change in the balance of the gastrointestinal microflora, to the development of colitis associated with the administration of antimicrobials (colitis X), usually associated with Clostridium difficile, which can be lethal.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
If the product is administered to animals with severe yeanlingney failure, and the treatment is prolonged beyond the recommended period (3-6 days), there may be a risk of nephrotoxicity.
If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not listed in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Administer it orally, either individually or in mass.
In cattle, suckling piglets, lambs, goats and rabbits, the product is administered diluted in the drinking water, plant infusion or milk, in a dose of 0.9-1.2 g of powder/100 kg bw/day (4.5-6 mg of colistin sulfate/kg bw, and 100,000 IU/kg bw, respectively), for 3-6 days.
In birds (hens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigeons, quails, pheasants, guinea fowls), it is administered diluted in the drinking water, in a dose of 9-12 g of powder/100 liters/day (4.5-6 mg of colistin sulfate/kg bw, and 100,000 IU/kg bw, respectively), for 3-6 days.
For piglets, it is administered in the drinking water, in an amount of 140 g of powder/1000 liters of water (5 mg of colistin sulfate/kg bw, and 100,000 IU/kg bw, respectively), for 5-7 days.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
The product should be well diluted in the drinking water for an even dispersion thereof.
Throughout the treatment, animals should only consume the medicated water.
The medicated drinking water should be freshly prepared, every 24 hours. In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be accurately determined, whenever possible, to avoid under-dosing.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days.
The duration of treatment should be limited to the minimum time needed to treat the disease.
