Degasil is a medical device, in the form of capsules, which improves intestinal and abdominal comfort in people with gastrointestinal disorders related to the accumulation of gas in the intestines: bloating, flatulence and abdominal tension.
Degasil is based on simethicone, the substance scientifically proven to act by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles present in the gastrointestinal tract:
reduces the accumulation of gas in the intestines, bloating and flatulence (this is an antifoaming effect)
reduces the shadows produced by gases in the intestines (necessary in radio-imaging explorations).
Degasil can also be used to prepare for medical examinations of the abdomen by radiography, ultrasound or endoscopy.
