DEO-VET - Surface disinfectant for shelters and vehicles

CATEGORY OF USERS: Professional, industrial users.

AREA OF USE: The veterinary field. A concentrated disinfectant detergent for the prophylactic and necessary disinfection of surfaces, machinery, animal shelters, and vehicles used for the transport of animals, as well as surfaces in food markets and animal fairs.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 
- Virucidal disinfection of necessity: Disinfection in the presence of viruses with an envelope of the type: Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) (the surrogate of the Hepatitis C virus – HCV): 2% (2:100) in water, contact time: 5 minutes. Disinfection in the presence of viruses with transmission through blood of the type: Vaccinia virus Elstree strain HBV, HCV, HIV, of the viruses of the Orthomyxoviridae family (Influenza viruses: H5N1 and H1N1): 2.0% (2:100) in water, contact time: 5 minutes. The virucidal activity against the bacteriophage Lactococcus lactis has not been tested.
- Antibacterial disinfection: Prophylaxis: 2% (2:100) in water, contact time: 15 minutes or 2.5% (5:200) in water, contact time: 5 minutes. Of necessity: 2% (2:100) in water, contact time: 60 minutes, or 2.5% (5:200) in water, contact time: 30 minutes.
- Antifungal disinfection: prophylaxis: 2.5% (5:200) in water, contact time: 5 minutes. Of necessity: 2.5% (5:200) in water, contact time: 60 minutes.
- The decontamination and disinfection of animal sheds: the disinfection shall be performed in empty compartments, in the absence of any animals (according to the “everything full – everything empty” principle), after the removal of garbage, droppings, feed residues, etc. and proper cleaning of surfaces and equipment. Recommendations: before using the disinfectant, a proper cleaning of the surfaces should be carried out. Factors that determine the effectiveness of the disinfection: the total depopulation of the shed; a perfect mechanical cleaning of the surfaces to be disinfected; compliance with the recommended concentration and contact time; the uniform application of the solution with a suitable disinfection tool to ensure that the surfaces are covered with a continuous film of disinfectant.

Mold removal: prepare fresh solutions with a concentration of 2.5% (5:200) in water. Apply the solution so as to completely cover the surface touched by the mold. Let it dry and repeat the treatment every 7 days if the mold reappears. Rinsing is not necessary.
The disinfection of surfaces: the amount of disinfectant solution applied depends on the nature of the surfaces: 100 ml of DEO-VET solution/m2 for smooth surfaces or 300 ml of DEO-VET solution/m2 for porous surfaces.
