ENROFLOXACIN FP - Powder treament to gems sensitive to the main substance

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any excipient. Do not use for birds whose eggs are intended for human consumption.

 

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Adverse reactions are rare. However, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, seizures may occur. Rashes, fever or even leukopenia, thrombopenia and hemolytic anemia may be encountered.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
The treatment consists of the oral, individual or mass, administration of the product, incorporated into the feed, in different doses, depending on the condition, the species and the category of animal.
Recommended doses are:
Pigs:
- It is administered in doses of 1.5 kg/1000 kg of feed/day (2.5 mg of enrofloxacin/1 kg bw);
- In salmonellosis and secondary respiratory infections, the dose doubles: 3 kg/1000 kg of feed/day (5 mg of enrofloxacin/kg bw).
Birds (broilers and turkeys):
- It is administered in a dose of 2 kg/1000 kg of feed/day.
The treatment lasts for 3 days, and, in salmonellosis, it lasts for 5 days.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
In order to ensure the correct dose, the body weight should be determined as accurately as possible so as to avoid under-dosing. The product should not be administered as such for use. In administration, for proper dosage of the active substance, a premixture shall be prepared, to be incorporated into the feed.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: 28 days.
Use in birds producing eggs for human consumption is not authorized.
