TARGET SPECIES: Cattle (calves for meat and heifers), hens (broilers), turkeys (broilers).

 

INDICATIONS: PThe product is indicated for cattle (calves for meat and heifers) in the treatment of respiratory and digestive infections caused by active substance-sensitive germs (shipping fever, pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp.), and necrobacillosis associated with sulfadimethoxine-sensitive Sphaerophorus necrophorus.
In chickens (broilers) and turkeys (broilers) the product is indicated in the early stage of coccidiosis, avian cholera and infectious coryza, caused by germs sensitive to the active substance.

COMPOSITION:
1 ml of solution contains:
Active substance:
Sulfadimethoxine……………………………………………..125 mg
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS: 
Do not administer to animals with serious yeanlingney or liver problems.
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.

ADVERSE REACTIONS: 
Rarely, there may be gastrointestinal disorders, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, medication exanthema, occasional abdominal discomfort, in which case administration should be stopped immediately.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
The product shall be administered orally in the drinking water.
In cattle (calves for meat and heifers), the treatment is administered for 5 consecutive days: the dose on the first day is 55 mg of active substance per 1 kg bw, the equivalent of 44 ml of product/100 kg, followed by another 4 days in which the dose is reduced by half (22 ml of product/100 kg bw).
In hens (broilers) and turkeys (broilers) the treatment is administered for 6 consecutive days. The doses are:
- Hens (broilers) - 4 ml of product per 1 L of water/day (500 mg of active substance/1 L of water/day)
- Turkeys (broilers) - 2 ml of product per 1 L of water/day (250 mg of active substance/1 L of water/day).
The product shall be administered to chickens under 16 weeks of age, and to turkey poults under 24 weeks of age. Treated chicks shall not be used as replacement juveniles. In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be calculated as accurately as possible, to avoid under-dosing of the product.
If no improvement in the clinical status is observed after the treatment period, the diagnosis should be re-assessed.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
During treatment, an appropriate fluid intake shall be ensured.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: cattle (calves for meat and heifers) – 7 days, hens (broilers) and turkeys (broilers) – 5 days.

STORAGE:

Store at temperatures lower than 25°C.

Keep away from frost.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the bottle.
Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 3 months.
Shelf life after dilution or reconstitution as instructed: 24 hours.
