Menthol has local antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and refreshing action on the region it is applied to, deodorizing and soothing effect. Camphor has a revulsive, anti-itching, anti-inflammatory, anti-septic effect. Isopropyl alcohol has an aseptic and revulsive action.
When applying the product to the area to be treated, the gel acts as follows:
In the first phase, by evaporation of the active ingredients (isopropyl alcohol, menthol, camphor), the affected area cools.
There is a local vaso-constriction (in the skin and muscles) that has the effect of reducing inflammation, while cooling acts to reduce pain.
In the second phase, the temperature stabilizes, the body reacts by vasodilation by increasing the blood flow to the muscles that present the phenomenon of hypothermia.
In the third phase, the increased local circulation of the blood (hyperaemia) in the affected areas determines the increase of the metabolism and as a result the muscular tension decrease.

ADMINISTRATION METHOD
It is applied on the clean and dry skin several times a day, in a thin layer, on the affected area, gently massaging the region in order to facilitate the penetration of the gel.
It can be applied as an occlusive dressing The preparation of a solution (two table spoons of gel per liter of water) may be also used with which the whole body of the horse will be rubbed.
