GENTAMICIN FP 10% - Sustain the digestive tract for cattle and pigs

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to gentamicin.
Do not administer to animals with severe yeanlingney failure, severe vestibular dysfunctions or pregnant females.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Aminoglycosides can cause neuromuscular shutdown, facial edema, peripheral neuropathy and hypersensitivity reactions. Hematological and hepatic effects can rarely occur.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
The administration shall be performed orally, in the drinking water.
Young cattle: on the first day, twice, 5 g of product/100 kg bw each time (i.e. 10 mg of gentamicin/kg bw/day); over the following days, continue with 4 g of product/100 kg bw, once a day (i.e. 4 mg of gentamicin/kg bw/day). Treatment shall last 3-5 days.
Pigs: 8 g of product/100 kg bw/day (i.e. 8 mg of gentamicin/kg bw/day).
The amount of water shall be determined according to the category of growth and the physiological condition. The treatment lasts 3 to 5 days.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
The ingestion of water is dependent on the clinical condition of the animals. In order to obtain the correct dose, the concentration of gentamicin in the drinking water shall be adjusted accordingly. In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be calculated as accurately as possible, to avoid under-dosing of the product. The daily dose shall be added into the drinking water, so that the whole amount is consumed within 24 hours. A new amount of medicated water should be freshly prepared every 24 hours.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: 28 days.
