TARGET SPECIES: Cattle, pigs, dogs and cats.

INDICATIONS: In cattle, pigs, dogs and cats, in the treatment of local or systemic infections caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms (respiratory, gastrointestinal or urogenital tract infections, sepsis, omphalitis, meningitis, arthritis, pyroarthritis, and mastitis, skin, eye and ear infections).

COMPOSITION:
1 ml of solution for injection contains:
Active substance:
Gentamicin (in the form of sulfate)………………………….100 mg
Excipient:
Benzyl alcohol………………………………………………….10 mg
 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to gentamicin, to any of the excipients or other aminoglycosides.
Do not administer to animals with severe yeanlingney failure, severe vestibular dysfunctions or pregnant females.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Aminoglycosides can cause neuromuscular shutdown, facial edema, peripheral neuropathy and hypersensitivity reactions. Rarely, hematological and hepatic effects may occur. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not listed in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
It shall be administered intramuscularly or intravenously, slowly, but, in some cases, especially in more irritable or stubborn carnivores, the subcutaneous route may be chosen.
Cattle, pigs: 4 ml/100 kg bw, i.m. or i.v. (i.e. 4 mg of gentamicin/kg bw)
Young pigs, dogs, cats: 1 ml/25 kg bw, i.m. or i.v. or s.c. in special cases (i.e. 4 mg of gentamicin/kg bw).
The treatment shall be repeated every 12 hours, for the first 1-2 days, and every 24 hours, for the following days for 3-5 days. The treatment shall be continued for at least two days after the disappearance of clinical symptoms. Repeated injections shall be done in different injection areas.
In the case of pigs, do not administer more than 1 ml of product per injection area.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
In order to administer the proper dose, the body weight of the animal should be calculated as accurately as possible to avoid product under-dosing.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Din Due to the accumulation of gentamicin in the liver, yeanlingneys and the injection area, avoid repeating any treatment plan during the withdrawal period.
Cattle: intramuscular or intravenous administration: Meat and offal: 214 days; milk – 7 days.
Pigs: Meat and offal: 146 days.

 PRECAUTIONS AND SPECIAL INDICATIONS

Do not use after the expiration date stated on the label.
