TARGET SPECIES: Pigs, birds (broilers, hens, geese, turkeys).
INDICATIONS: Is recommended in the treatment of helminthiases produced by the following parasites:
Pigs: Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Oesophagostomum spp., Trychocephalus spp., Trichinella spiralis, Metastrongylus spp., Strongyloides ransomi.
Birds (broilers, hens, geese, turkeys): Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinae, Capillaria spp., Amidostomum anseris, Trichostrongylus spp., Syngamus trachea, Railletina spp.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
It is not administered to pigeons and parrots. It is not administered to animals and birds showing hypersensitivity to flubendazole or to any of the excipients of the product
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Flubendazole is generally well tolerated. Transient abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea were rarely reported.
ADMINISTRATION METHOD:
The premix is administered orally, incorporated into the feed.
Pigs:
- Meal treatment: 600 g of HELMIX F/ton of feed/day (30 g of a.s./ton of feed/day) for 5 – 10 days, depending on the type and level of the infestation.
- Individual treatment: HELMIX F is incorporated into the feed so as to ensure a dose of 5 mg of a.s./kg b.w., 2 g of HELMIX F/20 kg body weight, respectively.
In the treatment of trichinellosis, the dose is of 1.2 kg of HELMIX F/ton of feed, for 7 days in the meal treatment or 4 g of HELMIX F/20 kg b.w. (10 mg of a.s./20 kg b.w.), for 5 days in the individual treatment.
Treatment frequency: twice a year or upon the recommendation of the veterinarian.
Birds:
- broilers, hens, geese: 600 g of HELMIX F/ton of feed/day (30 g of a.s./ton of feed/day) for 7 days in a row. In case of re-infestation with Railletina spp., 1.2 kg of HELMIX F/ton of feed is incorporated (60 g of a.s./ton of feed/day).
-turkeys: 400 g of HELMIX F/ton of feed/day (20 g of a.s./ton of feed/day) for 7 days in a row.
Treatment frequency: twice a year or upon the recommendation of the veterinarian. In special epidemiological situations the treatment can be repeated at intervals of 3 weeks. In order to ensure a proper administration of the therapeutic dose, the body weight must be determined as accurately as possible. When treating several animals at one time, they should be grouped according to their weight and dose appropriately adjusted, in order to avoid under- or overdosing.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
HELMIX F will be properly homogenized with the food. First, a premix will be prepared of the prescribed quantity of powder with 5 kg of food, mix thoroughly and then add the remaining of the feed up to 1 ton and homogenize thoroughly. It is recommended to do the hygiene of the growth premises at the same time, in order for the treatment to be effective.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Pigs: Meat and offal – 14 days.
Birds (broilers, hens, geese and turkeys): Meet and offal – 14 days. Eggs – 7 days.
STORAGE:
Store at a temperature below 25ºC.
Keep away from light.
Store in the original packaging, tightly closed.
Shelf life after the first opening of the primary packaging: 3 months.
Shelf life after being incorporated into the feed: 7 days.
