Therapeutic
action INTERTRIM has a broad antibacterial spectrum, rapidly reaching a sustained blood level for a long time. INTERTRIM is a sterile aqueous solution for injection of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole. The aqueous solution is unique and is very well tolerated locally and generally against injectable solutions with more conventional organic solvents.
INTERTRIM is based on the synergistic effect between two antibacterial components in the formulation. Trimethoprim> is an inhibitor of folic acid and in INTERTRIM this molecule increases the effect of the sulfonamide supplement, which itself blocks the formation of bacterial parametabolism. INTERTRIM is a powerful bactericide with a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against Gram + and Gram bacteria - Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, E.coli, Haemophillus, Pasteurella and Salmonella. Being promptly absorbed, the blood level of INTERTRIM is achieved quickly and sustainably, reaching the tissues quickly.
Indications
Treatment for a range of bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (pneumonia, bronchitis), urogenital (nephritis, metritis), gastrointestinal (colibacidosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis) Bacterial infections secondary to viral diseases, mastitis, sepsis in all species, infections of wounds, prophylactic, postoperative and postpartum, etc. All infections caused by germs sensitive to the combination of trimethoprim and sulfamethoxazole.
Administration and dosage
Cows, sheep, pigs: iv slow or im 1 ml for 10-15 kg body weight.
Horses: iv 10-15 ml for 200 kg body weight, injected slowly.
Repeat daily for 3-5 days.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to trimethoprim and / or sulfamides. It is contraindicated in animals with kidney, liver and blood diseases.
Waiting time
Milk 4 days; meat: 12 days.
Side effects
At high doses, occasionally, symptoms of mild drowsiness. Anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.
