TARGET SPECIES: Horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats.
INDICATIONS
The local treatment of skin wounds (infected/uninfected) for both skin and mucous membranes (except the conjunctival mucosa) in horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats, for example: wounds, cuts, grazes, superficial burns, wounds due to extended decubitus, boils; the treatment of pododermatitis; the treatment of sutured surgical wounds.
100 g of ointment contain:
Iodine-povidone…………………………………………………...10 g
(the equivalent of 1% free iodine)
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Rarely, local allergic reactions, irritation, inflammation or erythema may occur.
If you notice any adverse effects, even ones not already listed in this leaflet, or believe that the medicine has not had any effect please inform your veterinarian.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Administer it by the skin and mucous membranes (except the conjunctival mucosa). Do not apply it onto deeply affected skin areas or any large areas of burns.
Clean the wound or area to be treated, dry the area and apply the ointment in a thin layer covering the entire surface and let it absorb (possibly covering it with an occlusive dressing).
Apply once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the condition, until it heals.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION
Not necessary.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat and offal – zero days; milk – zero days.
STORAGE
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at temperatures lower than 25°C. Keep in the original packaging. Keep the packaging tightly closed. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not use this veterinary medicinal product after the expiration date stated on the label. Shelf life after first opening the primary packaging: 6 months.
