PROPERTIES
Salicylic acid in the concentration used has a moderate antiseptic and antipruritic action. It possesses slight keratolytic properties that allow to detach crusts and clean the earwax without irritating the mucous membrane of the ear pavilion.
INDICATIONS
For cleaning the flag and external ear duct or as an adjunct in the treatment of various diseases of the ear ( otitis, eczema).

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Instillation of a sufficient amount of OTOSAN (a few drops) on the wall of the external ear duct; after a few minutes of contact, the ear duct is gently cleaned with the help of a swab. In the treatment of eczema or otitis, OTOSAN is used as an adjuvant for sanitizing the ear before specific treatment, (OTOGUARD ointment). The procedure is repeated daily until the symptoms disappear.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION.
The product should be brought to a temperature as close as possible to that of the body, and the earwax should be carefully removed with the help of a swab, without injuring the auditory duct. It is necessary to introduce a sufficient amount of product for soaking earwax. For the application of the product, tilt the head of the animal on the opposite side of the treated ear.
