OVATOKS 12.5% (amitraz-12.5%) 100 ml - an analogue of Scabatoks, Bipin, Taktik, Kenaz - this is used for therapeutic purposes to effectively combat Varroatosis (Varroa mite) of bees.
The active substance is amitr (12.5%).
Methods of application:
With the help of a smoke cannon
To prepare an emulsion ( OVATOKS 12.5% working solution ) to treat 10 bee families, 1 ml of " OVATOKS 12.5% " is needed, which must be diluted with 20 ml of purified kerosene.
The solution is prepared on the day of processing.
Treatment of bees from varroatosis is carried out by the method of spraying in the form of smoke, therefore it will be most effectively applied with the help of a smoke cannon. To neutralize mites, 1-2 puffs of smoke per bee family are enough.
By the pouring method (using a syr):
The working emulsion is prepared by thoroughly mixing 1 ml of OVATOKS 12.5% with 2 liters of clean drinking water, respectively.
The finished solution is collected in a syr and processing of bee colonies is carried out by pouring the emulsion in small drops on the bees in the alleys between the frames. The rate of consumption of the finished solution is 10 ml per one hive of bees.
Processing time: Bee colonies are processed in the fall with a minimal amount of brood and during the formation of the bee club at an outside air temperature not lower than 0°C. Side effects in the recommended doses are not observed.
It is recommended to carry out the treatment twice:
- after the end of honey collection, honey pumping;
- before placing bees for wintering (in the presence of mites on adult bees).
WARNING:
Before the mass processing of the apiary it must be checked for safety for bees and therapeutic effectiveness - first in 1-2 families, in 1-2 streets, followed by 24-hour monitoring of their condition.
Storage - store in a dry place, protected from light, at room temperature in a closed package.
