TARGET SPECIES: Pigs, foals, calves, lambs, yeanlings, rabbits, dogs, birds (broiler chickens, hens, turkeys, ducks, geese) and fish.
INDICATIONS: OXYTETRACYCLINE FP 90% - oral powder is recommended in the treatment of diseases caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive germs in pigs, foals, calves, lambs, yeanlings, rabbits, dogs, birds (broiler chickens, hens, turkeys, ducks, geese) and fish, as follows:
Pigs: in the treatment of secondary infections associated with porcine enzootic pneumonia, bacterial enteritis, arthritis and erysipelas.
Foals, lambs, yeanlings: in the treatment of bacterial enteritis, respiratory infections, omphalitis, arthritis.
Calves: in the treatment of secondary infections associated with viral pneumonia, bacterial enteritis, arthritis, calf diphtheria, omphalitis.
Rabbits: in the treatment of bacterial enteritis.
Dogs: in the treatment of secondary infections associated with hepatitis.
Birds (broiler chickens, hens, turkeys, ducks, geese): in the treatment of avian cholera, fowl typhoid, infectious coryza, infectious sinusitis, infectious synovitis, nonspecific diarrhea, mycoplasmosis, staphylococcal arthritis, pseudotuberculosis, coliform septicemia and in the treatment of secondary infections associated with infectious bronchitis, chronic respiratory diseases, infectious laryngotracheitis, avian pox.
Fish: in the treatment of erythrodermatitis, carp swim bladder infections and trout furunculosis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Do not administer orally to adult cattle and horses. Do not administer three days prior or subsequent to vaccinations with live bacterial vaccines.
ADVERSE REACTIONS:
As with all tetracyclines, adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal disorders and, less often, allergic or photosensitivity reactions have been observed. If you notice any adverse reactions, even ones not already listed in this leaflet, or believe the medicine to have been ineffective, please inform your veterinarian.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Administer the product in the drinking water, in herb infusion or as milk replacement.
Pigs: 15-35 g of product/100 liters of drinking water (10-30 mg of active substance/kg bw), once a day, for 5 consecutive days.
Calves, lambs, yeanlings, foals: 1–1.5 g of product/50 kg bw (20–30 mg of active substance/kg bw). It shall be administered daily, in the drinking water or herb infusion or milk replacements, for 5 consecutive days.
Dogs, rabbits: 0.55 g of product/10 kg bw (50 mg of active substance/kg bw), divided into two batches/day, for 5 consecutive days.
Birds (broiler chickens, hens, turkeys, ducks, geese): 15–35 g of product/100 liters of drinking water (10–30 mg of active substance/kg bw), once a day, for 5 consecutive days.
Fish: 4.5–6.5 g of product shall be administered daily for 100 kg of fish. For adult fish, the product shall be administered in a single batch, and, for young fish, it shall be administered in two batches a day. The product shall be administered in the pond. Adults and young fish may be treated for 4-8 days or until the clinical signs disappear.
In order to ensure proper dosage, the body weight of the animals should be determined as accurately as possible, so as to avoid under-dosing.
If the animals show no improvement in their health, consult the veterinarian for a re-assessment of the diagnosis.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION:
The product shall not be administered as such. For mass treatment of the animals, the preparation of a proper dilution is recommended to ensure full product homogenization. The medicated water/infusions or, in case of product administration in milk replacements, these shall be consumed on the day of the preparation. The medicated water shall be refreshed every 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat and offal: foals, calves, lambs, yeanlings, pigs, rabbits, birds (broilers chickens, hens, turkeys, ducks, geese): 7 days.
Eggs: 3 days.
Fish meat:
Carp: ≤ 10°C – 90 days; at 10°C-20°C – 70 days; over 20°C – 60 days;
Trout: ≤ 6°C – 90 days; at 6°C - 12°C – 70 days; over 12°C – 60 days.
