ADMINISTRATION METHOD:
PYRATEL CD suspension is administered orally, with the help of a syringe, directly in the oral cavity or mixed with the food, under the following doses:
Dogs: 1 ml of PYRATEL CD/kg body weight;
Cats: 4 ml of PYRATEL CD/kg body weight.
Routine treatments:
Puppies and kittens until the 12th week of life:
The first treatment is done on the 14th day of life, and the subsequent one at intervals of two weeks up to the age of 10 weeks. If the infestation persists, it is recommended to continue the treatment at a 2-week interval until the animal turns 12 weeks.
Dogs and cats over 12 weeks of life:
For the animals living in satisfactory hygienic conditions it is enough that they are treated regularly at 3-month intervals. In cases of poor hygiene and under conditions of excessive heat and humidity, which favor the development of parasites, the animals must be treated according to the veterinarian’s advice.
Pregnant female dogs and cats:
The female cats must be treated at 2, 4 and 6 weeks after each oestrus cycle. The pregnant females will be treated with about 10 days before birth and at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks after each birth (with their puppies/kittens). Apart from these periods, the treatment of the animals living in good hygienic conditions will be repeated at 3 month intervals.
Treatments in parasitic infestations:
The animals must be treated with a first dose and then repeated at 2 – 3 weeks because a good protection helps increase the vitality of the treated animal. These measures are also justified by the fact that any dog or cat infested with parasites poses a threat to the health of the people close to it (especially for children).
No dietary measures are required prior to the administration of the product.
